summer slowdown-truth or myth?

I am a relative newcomer to the industry,around 5 years but only two full time.
Around this time of year,if you frequent the boards,you will here the guys who's drink is always half empty talk about the summer slowdown.

Now,I am aproactive webmaster who went from fake tgp's to blogs,always building new sites,with new SE terms,words and phrases-and I personally have grown my traffic month on month,year on year-I certainly have seen a few trends but NO summer slow down.

Guys still jerk off,good sites still convert,people still search for porn-end of.
Yes I believe all round its harder than it was to get traffic-BUT-if you have the right work ethic,then you will succeed,in any industry,and this one is no different.

This year we have the world cup,starting today in fact-again "bleat bleat bleat,sales will die,were all doomed...Etc"
